2007 Wild Night for Wildlife!
The Refuge's first benefit, a Wild Night for Wildlife, was a huge triumph as 420 people attended as guests, and $175,000 was raised! A gracious thank you to Refuge supporters in helping us achieve our success! The evening's festivities included great music by the Hackensack Men and the Trenton Horns, catering by Atlantica, and fantastic weather! The evening was spiced up with both live and silent auctions, and with some of the Refuge animals mingling in the crowd. The Benefit was held at 'Winnecomac' which means 'Pleasant Place' in Algonquin. Pleasant is an understatement for this lovely home of Jennifer and Antony Oldfield, the gracious hosts of the benefit. Charlotte Post Chase and the entire Benefit Committee worked very hard to create a magnificent and truly successful benefit! Thank you to everyone involved in the accomplishment of the fundraiser that celebrated and benefitted this local non-profit nature preserve!
