Up the Creek with a Paddle
Tuesdays, September 16th and 23rd, meet at the refuge at 5:15 pm
Join Refuge Staff for an exploratory paddle as we kayak through Quantuck Creek. Some kayaking experience necessary. These paddles will include some short wildlife talks as these local waterways are great habitats for a variety of creatures. This program will be weather dependent, and will last approximately 1½ hours. A program for adults. Reservations and payment required ahead of time to hold your place. $25.00 program fee per person. Space is limited so reserve early.
Full Moon Night Hike
Monday, September 15th at 7:45 pm
Join us for a nighttime hike through the forest up to North Pond as we look and listen for nocturnal creatures, and enjoy some night vision activities. The walk will last approximately 1½ hours. Reservations required 24 hours prior, space is limited. A free program for adults and families with children over 11.
Autumn Walk and Row
Saturday, September 27th, 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Join staff for a guided Refuge walk and/or a paddle around Old Ice Pond. The fall is a lovely time to visit the Refuge to see the brilliant colors of foliage that surround the ponds. Guided walks will be at 9:30 am and 2:30 pm. The kayaks and canoes will be available for self-guided paddles between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. A free program for adults and families. Reservations requested.

Quogue Wildlife Refuge’s 74th Anniversary Celebration
Friday, October 10th at 7:30 pm
Join Refuge Staff and Board Members for a very short and informative meeting about the Refuge, and enjoy some cake and coffee with us! Then enjoy the slide show presentation ‘A Place for All Ages’, a look at the past year's Programs and Events. Everyone is invited and admission is free.

Halloween Volunteers Meetings
Tuesday October 14th or Thursday October 16th at 5:30 pm
Adults, families, and teens over 16 who are interested in volunteering during any of our Halloween Programs are encouraged to attend one of these meetings and have the appropriate volunteer application filled out. A fun time to discuss ideas, interests, and the Refuge's spooky needs! It is mandatory that everyone participating fill out a volunteer application. Please call to sign up for a meeting or with any questions!
15th Annual Spooky Walk
Friday October 24th AND Saturday, October 25th, 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Dare to hike the dark and haunted Refuge trails to meet the ghouls and goblins that take them over! A wicked time for all! The guided walks last approximately forty minutes. The earlier walks book up first, so please reserve early! For adults and families with children over 7. Reservations required, call to reserve a time slot. $10.00 per person.
Enchanted Forest Trail
Sunday, October 26th, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Follow your guide to meet whimsical, fun, and educational characters on the forest trails. The parking lot will be full of games and activities! Come and join the fun! Dress up if you like! Children ages 2 to 7 with adult. Reservations required, call to reserve a time slot. $7.00 fee per person.
Family Pumpkin Carving
Thursday, October 30th, 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Come to the front lawn of the Refuge for some good old-fashioned carving! Choose a pumpkin from our patch or bring one of your own! Dress to be outside. A program for adults and families. Reservations Required. Free for members and $5.00 per person for non-members.

Harvest Wreath Making Workshop
Saturday, November 8th 10:30 am - 12 noon
Spend the morning in the Nature Center with beautiful views of Old Ice Pond while you learn how to make a straw wreath. Use your creativity to decorate it as you wish using an assortment of autumn colored ribbons and natural items that will be available. It will make a fantastic gift or seasonal decoration for your home. This program is for adults, and can be for children who bring an adult to work on it together. $15.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members (per wreath).

Native American Song and Dance
Saturday, November 15th, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Join us for a lively and fascinating journey with presenter and dancer, Andrea Godoy, of the Shinnecock Nation. The program begins with a short video, and then we will have the opportunity to observe and then participate in contemporary and traditional dance. November is National American Indian Heritage Month and what a great way to celebrate! A free program for all ages. Reservations requested.
Annual Seed Sale Fundraiser
Saturday and Sunday, November 17th and 18th
"This is a wonderful fundraiser for Eastern Long Island Audubon Society and for the Quogue Wildlife Refuge!" exclaimed the Cardinal to the Woodpecker.
Please place your birdseed orders using an order form by Wednesday, November 12th. Download your Bird Seed Order Form here, or at theEastern Long Island Audubon Society. Bird seed, bird houses, and great gifts for birders will be for sale in the Nature Center from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. Start the season with plenty of seed and the birds will thank you all winter long!
World Village Fair Trade Holiday Shopping
Saturday, November 29th, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Get into the holiday spirit by browsing, purchasing, and learning about fair trade items. Folks from the World Village Fair Trade Market, a member of the Fair Trade Federation, will be in the Nature Center with beautiful handcrafted gift items and organic coffees and teas from all over the world that will be for sale. Every dollar you spend helps support the village artisans and farmers who produce the products you purchase as they receive a ‘fair price’ for their hand-crafted goods. Come and learn about how important it is to buy fair trade products and enjoy some guilt free holiday shopping
